Pre-Departure Seminar: Special Session for University of the Arts London (UAL)

What should students and parents prepare before leaving home for the UK? What should you bring from Hong Kong? And what can be easily purchased in the UK or online? How much pocket money should parents provide? How can students manage money and their daily expenses? What questions do immigration officers usually ask at border control?

To help students and parents get well-prepared for their new student life in the UK, British United runs a series of Pre-Departure Seminars every year – From the preparation before departure, arriving in the UK, traveling to school and hall of residence, to settling into their school life, covering everything you need to know for a smooth transition!

In this special session for new students of University of the Arts London (UAL), we will talk more about the enrollment procedures in University of the Arts London (UAL), as well as practical information about studying and living in London:

• Pre-Departure Preparation: Packing checklist, travel arrangement, pocket money and bank account, etc
• Student Visa & Entering the UK
• Halls of Residence
• Student Enrollment Procedures: Setting up student email, accessing the MyUAL student portal, etc
• Practical Guide about Studying and Living in the UK: Everyday life, healthcare, and transport in London

The seminar is open to students who have either confirmed their place or holding a Conditional Offer – do come and meet with your fellow UAL students and parents before departure! Priority will be given to students who have applied through British United due to space constraints.
