Taunton School is a large-scale all-through boarding school in Taunton, a town in south west of England, which currently educates over 1000 students and offers the options of GCE A-levels and the International Baccalaureate (IB) in sixth form. Design & Technology is one of Taunton School’s strongest subjects. In the past, a Hong Kong student has won a scholarship awarded by IKEA to pursue a product design degree in university! In terms of public exam performance, A*-B rates in GCE A-levels in the three years before the pandemic (2017-2019) were between 59% to 68%, while the overall A*-B rate was at 61% in 2023. In addition to standard curriculum, Taunton School also offers One-Year GCSE and Pre-IB programmes, which are excellent bridging courses for F.4 students from Hong Kong.
