St Joseph’s College is an all-through boarding school in the town of Ipswich, with very good reputation for football, rugby and arts education. From Year 7 to sixth form, students in St Joseph’s College have the option to join professional football training and gain access to about five hours of extra training every week. In partnership with Ipswich Town FC, students from St Joseph’s College will have the opportunities to train alongside talented young players from Ipswich Town FC. In Rugby, the National Schools Rugby Festival – what was created to celebrate the College’s 50th anniversary – is now an annual highlight, which sees school teams from all over the UK compete on St Joseph’s College’s pitches. The quality of arts education in St Joseph’s College is certified by the “Gold” Artsmark award by Arts Council England. In Sixth Form, students will have the options of a wide range of A-levels subjects in the area of art & design, including Drama & Theatre, Fine Art, Music, Photography, Product Design, as well as the option of a BTEC in Creative Media. Notable alumni include the shadow Chancellor John McDonnell and the legendary British musician Brian Eno.
