Ryde School with Upper Chine is a large-scale boarding school located in Isle of Wight, in the south of England. Celebrating its 100th anniversary in 2021, the School currently educates about 750 students, the majority of which are from local British families. The island of Isle of Wight is well connected with coastal cities in England, which only takes 10-20 minutes to get to Portsmouth and Southsea, and about 30 minutes to Southampton. With a little bit of distance comes outstanding campus environment and lots of choices in sports and extracurricular activities. These include popular watersports such as sailing, rowing and paddleboarding, as well as more unique options like mountain biking, golf and combined cadet force. Students in Ryde School with Upper Chine will have the option of both GCE A-levels and International Baccalaureate (IBDP/IBCP) when they move to sixth form. In terms of public exam results, A*-B rates in GCE A-levels is between 62% to 66% in the past two years (2022-2023), while the IB average scores were at 32.2 to 34.4 with a handful of high-achieving students getting 40-43 points at the top range!
