Located in coastal areas of the South-West with unique geographical advantages, Plymouth University has grown to be the largest provider of ocean-related studies (such as Marine Ecology, Ocean Exploration and more). Benefiting from the strong tourism industry in the area, students from Plymouth enjoy work and placement opportunities incomparable in other areas. Hospitality and tourism programmes in Plymouth is industry-focused, in which students can include a year-long placement. Students can also study a foreign language as part of their degrees (such as French, Spanish, German, etc) without adding extra workload to their degrees.

The Builing Surveying progamme in Plymouth University is accredited by RICS, and therefore recognized by The Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors (HKIS) and Surveyors Registration Board.
