Oswestry School is one of England’s oldest schools that stands on the edge of a safe, typically English, old-fashioned market town surrounded by beautiful countryside. The school has good academic records and high standard in music, drama and the arts. Notable alumni include some renowned poets, artists and Jo Walton – the Hugo award winner. While admission is non-selective, exam results have remained excellent throughout the years, with a A*-B rate of 71% in GCE A-levels 2022. In terms of leavers’ destinations, University of Manchester, Bristol, Essex and Manchester Metropolitan University are some of the most popular university choices. Graduates from Oswestry School study a diverse range of subjects from business, law, computer science, to biology, sports sciences, etc. Two graduates in 2022 were able to continue their education in University of Oxford (studying chemical engineering) and in University of Dundee Medical School.

1-Year GCSE

The one-year GCSE programme is a popular bridging programme before overseas students joined mainstream classes, suitable for F.4 students in Hong Kong. Students who study the programme in Oswestry School will be able to join the mainstream school as part of the normal timetable, in order to ensure they experience a typical English boarding school environment.
