Situated in stunning rural area in Scotland, Glenalmond College is one of the oldest boarding schools in Scotland and where the Hong Kong governor David Wilson had his education! Glenalmond College has a high boarding ratio and very good academic tradition, where students are stimulated academically with a range of extra learning initiatives. Glenalmond College follows the English national curriculum and teaches the GCSE and GCE A-levels qualifications just like other independent schools in England and Wales. As many as 26 subjects are offered in GCE A-levels, including some less commonly-found subjects such as Music Technology, Classical History, etc. Glenalmond’s spacious campus provides students with superb facilities and grounds for outdoor activities, including its own golf courses. Students who like hiking will probably like the environment and the expeditions offered as part of the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award scheme!

Glenalmond College has a strong tradition of golf, and owns a 9-hole course designed by former Open Champion, James Braid. A specialist golf development programme is offered, which includes regular training sessions in partnership with Dean Robertson at Stirling University’s Golf performance Centre, golf range visits and golf tour. Students with a particular interest in golf will find Glenalmond College an attractive option.
