Earlscliffe Sixth Form College is a “boutique” independent sixth form college in Folkestone, south east of England, which teaches about 100 students. Its curriculum is mainly GCE A-levels-based, with the options of University Foundation and One-Year GCSE programmes. Making good use of the advantages as a “boutique” setup, Earlscliffe strikes to make sure students are able to absorb what is taught in class, providing a small class size of an average of nine students. Earlscliffe also runs a “TRaC” (‘Test, Rank and Coach’) system – a weekly testing system put in place to make sure students understand class content of the week! In terms of extracurricular and enrichment activities, Earlscliffe Sixth Form College is a UNESCO-associated school and students have in the past visited the United Nations headquarters in New York as part of the programmes. For students considering a career in finance and banking, Earlscliffe’s membership of the JP Morgan Schools Programme means that Year 13 students can join a JP Morgan Schools day, gaining valuable insight about the various facets of investment banking!
