City of London Freemen’s School is a boarding school run by the City of London Corporation. With excellent track records of academic results, the School is a popular choice among local families. In the ten years before the pandemic (2010-2019), City of London Freemen’s School saw over 83% of its students getting A*-B grades in GCE A-levels. In 2022, four graduates were with their application to medical schools, while three graduates made it to University of Oxford and University of Cambridge! Other typical university destinations inlcude Bath, Nottingham, Birmingham, UCL, Warwick and alike. Notable alumni include British actor Andrew Garfield (known for his role playing Spider-Man) and Joe Strummer (front-man of the British band the Clash). Currently over 90% of students in City of London Freemen’s School are local day students and boarding places for international students are very limited. Students are therefore recommended to apply one year in advance.
