University Foundation: Britain’s First and a Very Successful One!

CATS College was the first in the private sector to run an University Foundation, which was first taught more than 60 years ago. In 2010, the qualification was officially recognized by LSE and UCL, meaning that students can now apply to these two universities after completing their University Foundation in CATS College. Every year CATS College sees graduates getting into top universities, such as Durham, Warwick , Lancaster , Bath and the like. In the past three years (2014-2016), there are 24 graduates who successfully progressed to Durham University!

Student Case Sharing:
From Below Pass Grades to Durham University

In 2014, BU student Michael Luk completed a one-year University Foundation in CATS College, made astonishing progress in his academic work and was admitted by Durham University Business School.

Michael was not top in class back in his school in Hong Kong. Like many teenagers he sometimes cares more about his hobbies than school work and his grades once worried his parents. These improved a lot when Michael was transferred to CATS College after F.5 where he was encouraged to develop his hobbies alongside school work.

This year (2017) Michael will be graduating from Durham University. CATS College went to visit him at Durham and asked him to share his thoughts about the past four years he spent studying in the UK.
