Seminar Content

In the Seminar, Laura Eccott (Senior Lecturer for Physiotherapy) from University of Hertfordshire will provide an overview of their Physiotherapy programmes, covering areas such as course structure & content, facilities, entry requirement, mode of assessment, professional qualifications, graduate prospect and more!

  • What’s Physiotherapy?
  • How do Physiotherapist and other medical professionals work together when they work with patients?
  • What attributes does the University look for in a student? Where should applicants pay extra attention when they prepare for their applications and interviews?
  • Placement Arrangement: When do placements usually happen in a three-year Physiotherapy programme? How does it benefit students to study Physiotherapy in a university close to a big city?
  • Course Introduction: At the end of the Seminar, Laura Eccott will briefly introduce their programmes – BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy – covering areas such as course structure, professional qualifications, facilities, placement opportunities, etc.

Details of Event: How can I Watch the Virtual Seminar? Can I Meet with the Lecturer for an Interview?

The virtual seminar will be delivered via Zoom. Students and parents can watch the virtual seminar in our office and meet with our education consultants right after the seminar. Alternatively, you can also choose to watch the seminar in the comfort of your own home. Simply indicate your intention to “Watch from Home” in the “Remarks” field when you register, so that we can make appropriate arrangements in advance.

Laura Eccott (Senior Lecturer for Physiotherapy) will be able to interview students who have applied or interested in applying to the BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy in University of Hertfordshire, and provide guidance and advices on preparing a winning Personal Statement. Professional Qualifications

If students plan to return to Hong Kong and practise as a physiotherapist, they must first obtain respective registered status in the UK before they are eligible to register in Hong Kong.

The BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy in University of Hertfordshire is approved by the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC) and the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP), which therefore qualifies graduates for registration with HCPC as a physiotherapist. The BSc (Hons) is also one of the Quotable Qualifications of Physiotherapists Board of Hong Kong. Graduates of the Programme therefore are eligible to register with the Physiotherapists Board of Hong Kong, after registration in the UK.
