For bachelor’s degree graduates, who fall short of the English or academic requirements of their desired master’s degrees, doing a Pre-Master’s can help bridge the gap. For sub-degree graduates who have good grades and certain work experience, doing a Pre-Master’s will enable them to enter a master’s degree, skipping the undergraduate qualification.
The length of pre-master programmes is from 3 months to 1 year, depending on the student’s academic achievement, work experience and English ability. Completion of pre-master programmes leads to 1-year master’s degree in associated universities.
- Length of course depends on student’s academic achievement, work experience and English ability. It’s normally three months to one year long.
- Start dates depend on the length of the programme. To ensure students can start their master’s degree right after the completion of the pre-master programme, 1-term programmes usually commence in June, while 2-term and 3-term programmes commence in January and September respectively.
- Pre-master programmes are only recognised by the partner universities only. Recognition by universities outside the UK might be limited.
