In the academic year of 2013/14, London FoundatiOnCampus will teach the University of London International Foundation Programme (with academic direction* from LSE) in their designated study centre in Birkbeck, University of London.
London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) is ranked 43rd globally and 3rd in the UK. The programme now accepts applications from HKDSE students, providing high-achieving students a chance to progress onto degree programmes in top ranked universities (including LSE) after a year.

Ranked the 32nd globally and the 3rd in the UK, the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) is the only university in the UK that specializes in the study of social sciences and has a worldwide reputation in the field. Globally ranked the 5th in social science, researches in Economics, Social Policy and Law are rated no. 1 in the UK. Projects that were rated as world leading and internationally excellent are up to 95%, 80% and 75% respectively. With the tradition of strong political involvement since the School was first established, many graduates have worked in the field of politics, social policy or in governments. More than 30 past or present heads of state have either been students at, or taught at, the University (such as Lee Kuan Yew the former Prime Minister of Singapore). Notable alumni include 16 Nobel prize-winners as well as a range of important figures in Hong Kong such as Audrey Eu, Emily Lau, Tam Yiu Chung, Charles Lee (Former chairman of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange), Cathy Chui Chi Kay and Chinese poet Xu Zhimo.
Academic Direction from LSE: LSE-Created Course Materials and Examinations
The International Foundation Programme is a challenging and inspiring new programme that has been designed to provide students with the skills and knowledge to prepare them for rigorous undergraduate study.
Students will work on 4 major modules (1 module more than other foundation programme) as well as English and personal development programmes – that’s 28 hours of teaching per week. This combination of modules is specially designed to provide a solid foundation for undergraduate studies. LSE will consider applications from students of the foundation programme.
